PMMA is an injectable implant used nowadays for buttocks augmentation as well as hips bilateral enhancement. This last generation substance is composed by  30% microspheres of polymethylmethacrilate suspended in 70% biologically and biocompatible gel containing hyaluronic acid which acts as vehicle or vector of the actual active PMMA principle.

PMMA (being biocompatible i.e. interacting with human body) will promote collagen and connective tissue formation unlike inert substances which remain as calcifications under tissues thus getting body to try and reject them in various forms.
